What documents cannot be notarized by the City Clerk's Office?
- I-9 Employee Eligibility Verification Forms
- Election documents such as petitions, affidavits, etc.
- Mortgage / deed documents
- Certify copies of birth, death, marriage or divorce certificates
- Apostilles and Authentications (these are done by the Colorado Secretary of State's Office)
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
- All the persons signing the document have to show up in person
- The notary has to notarize all the signatures at the same time
- All the persons signing the document have to show a valid identification like:
- Government issued photo id card
- Passport
- Bring all the witnesses your document needs.
- The City cannot provide witnesses.
How much do I have to pay for Notary services?
The first three stamps are free, additional stamps may incur a fee of $6.00 per stamp.
We reserve the right to refuse to provide notary services with cause.
