Director and Stepping Stones/Enrichment Teacher
Ms Lana
I am a teacher and the director in the early learning programs, Twoodles, Building Blocks and Stepping Stones as well as Summer Day Camp at the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center for over 20 years and have enjoyed the children, families and the community connections. My husband and I raised three children in Louisville. I have a Bachelor's Degree from CU Boulder, have held an elementary teaching license and currently hold a Colorado Preschool Director License. I love Louisville! When not teaching, I enjoy cooking, reading and playing with my grand-puppies!
Stepping Stones Teacher
Ms Christine
I moved to Colorado in 2018 with my husband and two sons. We love being part of this community. I have a dual Master's degree in business and engineering, working corporate jobs prior to becoming a parent. I fell in love with the early education field while volunteering for my sons' preschool, and I've been teaching and volunteering ever since! I hold an Early Childhood Educator Credential and have taken early childhood courses through Front Range Community College. I'm excited to build connections and form relationships with all of the students! When I'm not working or shuttling my teenage boys to their various activities, you will find me crochet/knitting, puzzling, or reading.
Stepping Stones & Twoodles Teacher
Ms Emily
I earned my degree in elementary education with a reading specialization from the University of Iowa. My family moved to Louisville from Iowa City, IA, in 2010, and the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center quickly became my home away from home. I went from frequent patron to working in child watch, teaching CPR, and substitute teaching in the preschool classrooms. All four of my boys have graduated from the Recreation & Senior Center preschool programs. I love being a part of the program that provided my boys with the foundation they needed to start their academic journey. When I am not teaching or on mom duty, I enjoy walking with my dog, playing tennis, baking, and gardening.
Building Blocks & Twoodles Teacher
Ms Larissa
I started working as a teacher at the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center in 2002. I earned my degree in Music Education from Ft. Lewis College, and have completed additional early childhood education courses through Front Range Community College over the last several years. I have lived in Boulder County since I was in high school, and have enjoyed raising my 3 children surrounded by all this community has to offer. Outside of teaching I enjoy trivia and camping!
Building Blocks & Twoodles Teacher
Ms Rebecca
I’ve lived in Louisville with my husband and two children since 2012 and hold a bachelor’s degree from CU Boulder along with an Early Childhood Educator license. My family has firsthand experience with the early learning program, as both of my children graduated from it (and loved it!). I feel very fortunate to work in my own community and in a profession where I can form relationships and guide children at such an important stage of development. I look forward to getting to know every student and fostering a positive early learning experience to help build a solid foundation for their future successes. In my free time, I enjoy camping, reading, gardening, loving on my dog and cheering on my own kiddos.
Preschool Enrichment Teacher
Ms Averi
I was born and raised in the area, so the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center has always played a meaningful role in my life. I have worked here since 2022, seasonally with Summer Day Camp and subbing in both the Building Blocks and Stepping Stones classrooms. I am currently finishing my degree in early childhood education at the Community College of Denver. I am passionate about creating a positive, supporting, and engaging environment where children feel encouraged to learn, grow, and build confidence. Outside of work and school, I enjoy dancing, attending concerts, spending time outdoors, and traveling!
Recreation Supervisor, Youth & Teen Activities
Ms Mandy
I am from a small artist/lobstering community on the east coast and grew up in the hospitality business. I have worked at the Louisville Recreation Center since 1999. My husband and I have two boys and love the many great opportunities for families in Colorado. I feel fortunate to work with an amazing group of coworkers who are passionate about their work and care deeply for our youth and community. I have a BS in Recreation Management and I’m certified as an Early Childhood Educator. You will mostly find me behind the scenes of preschool, supporting our staff and families, making sure all our programs for youth are running smooth. Some of my favorite pastimes are reading, traveling, and doing anything outdoors.
