Get involved
Getting involved in your community is one of the best things you can do as a teen. It looks great on college applications and resumes, but more than that, it is a chance to make real connections, discover new interests, and make a difference in the place you call home.
Volunteering and community participation can help you:
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- Make new friends and professional connections
- Discover interests you never knew you had
- Explore social and political issues you care about
- Strengthen your college applications
- Add valuable experience to your resume
